Arrived In Bangkok

Just off one of the streets. The lanterns seemed to glow even though they had no lights on.
Yes it's real. And it's heavy. Lucky for me I didn't know what was going on. I still had really nasty jet lag. (can you see it in my eyes?) I was willing to try anything at this point.
Mmmm...Thai Food. And beer...of course BEER!

A view from our guesthouse in Bangkok! Luxury all the way baby!!!
Bann Hua Lampong Guesthouse! Best guesthouse in all of Bangkok!

A photo snapped on our long tail boat trip thru the Thonburi Canals. Children swimming in the river. Don't ask whats in the river...it's pretty gross to think about it.
This river is filthy. But the kids don't seem to mind.
A view from the hotel window....bliss. Hot, humid and sticky if you go outside. It's 95 with 100% humidity.

Made it to Bangkok safely. It's now 4 days into the trip, and I do mean TRIP. We have left the delightful refuge of the Shangri La to go buy train tickets to Chiang Mai (sorry about the lack spelling...im fighting off sleep or lack of). We are now staying at the Baah Hue Lamphong Guesthouse near ther trainstation. Never would have found it if we were not run off the streets by tuks-tuks and taxis. More to come later when internet is easier to deal with. See pictures of Bangkok for now.

OK, not so much for pictures now. It's taking forever on this computer. Stay Tuned..We are off to Chiang Mai on the 15th.
